Opal - Jennifer L. Armentrout i am dying to read this!!!! by the way, " friends will become the deadliest of enemies", i hope that doesn't mean that Lesa and Charissa don't turn on Katy.. they seemed like really good friends and also great characters.. please don't go eeeevil!!THE COVER IS FINALLY RELEASED!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!! :D(starts jumping around)but i don't like the girl!!!!!!! She SO doesn't fit the Katy in the book (plus she looks older!)UPDATE:Oh My Fucking God!!!! What the hell!! I am so deep in shock over what i just read that i can't type 2 words without making a typo.. WHOA!! I can barely even organize my thoughts! This book was SO epic. Ok, deep breaths, inhale and exhale. Slowly.....Opal picks up from where Onyx left off. And we were in for some big changes. (Still working on organizing my thoughts) For one, Daemon, he was so much sweeter and need i say it, awesome this time around. In Onyx, we got a better look at a different Daemon Black but in Opal, it was a full on sucker-punch. It came across with blinding clarity that he cares for Katy very deeply and really does love her.The new Dee on the other hand, was a completely different story. She lost Adam and then had to deal with the fact that both Daemon and Katy had lied to her not just about Blake (UGH THAT SLEAZEBALL!!! WHY IS HE STILL ALIVE??!!) but also about Dawson. So i could understand her pain to an extent but really it was almost like she had morphed into another Ash, and that is just so wrong! It was disappointing the way she not just ignored Katy but also Lesa and Carissa.Ash and Andrew weren't nearly as annoying as they'd been in the previous books. Blake makes a return and the depth of my hatred for him seriously amazes (and disturbs) me. That guys is such a turd! The lesser said about him the better. As for Katy, she has most certainly changed and I, for one, really like this new Katy. She still doesn't let Daemon boss her around and has grown stronger and more confident about her new powers, while not letting them take control of her. She was now a part of two very different worlds and her need to somehow, still cling to the normal world of school and her mom, made complete sense. This book is so full of twists and turns that it keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. This is possibly the fastest paced book in the series so far. During the course of the book, i seriously considered taking up nail-biting as a hobby and was full of nervous energy as I neared the end of the book. As if my poor brain could not cope with the way the story was progressing. Even as the reader, it was impossible to not feel Katy's unease. Frankly Onyx left me a little disappointed and wary of Opal but this one more than made up for the last book and to say that it packed a punch, would be a sad understatement. All in all, I loved this book!!! Now all i have to do is wait for Origin to release and that's only July, piece of cake. NOT!!!!!!!!!! X(
